V. is currently implementing a project on the social integration of unintentionally pregnant adolescents in Burundi in cooperation with the partner organisation Psychologues sans Fronti\u00e8res Burundi (PSF-BU) and funded by the Foundation for Development Cooperation Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg.<br \/>\n<!--more-->In Burundi, unwanted pregnancies in early adulthood often lead to social exclusion, family conflicts and difficulties in continuing school. This is often accompanied by psychological problems, including suicidal intentions, and an increased risk of committing violence against the newborn child. The project aims to reduce stigmatisation and exclusion of the affected girls in order to improve their mental health, as well as to improve social, community and family cohesion. Among other things, the project aims to enable reintegration into school or work. If necessary, the young girls are offered trauma therapy or suicide prevention.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>vivo international e.
