This training course is part of the project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/en\/gbv-congo-3\/\">\u201cAssurer la formation des formateurs sur l\u2019approche NET dans la prise en charge en sant\u00e9 mentale des surviviants des VSBG\u201d<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2121\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0658-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"DSC_0658\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0658-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0658.jpeg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Among the participants were psychologists, physicians, nurses and midwifes. The training was conducted by our Congolese NET trainers for the first time. They were supported and supervised by three psychologists from Germany and Great Britain. Content of the 15 days training were theoretical basics for the concept of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), diagnostic approaches and NET in theory and practice.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2122\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0109-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"DSC_0109\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0109-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/DSC_0109.jpeg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\nDue to a high prevalence of systematic abuse of women and children in the DR Congo, the main focus laid on sexual violence and cultural handling of sexual assaults. Additionally organisational topics such as implementation of NET in the respective work contexts, interventions and supervision were covered.
