Nowadays the fund supports more than 170 projects every year in 83 countries and enables the rehabilitation of many children and adults, who were victims of torture.<br \/>\nTwo of these projects are realised by vivo international, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/en\/uganda\/\">one in Uganda<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivo.org\/en\/victims-of-torture\/\">one in Germany<\/a>.<br \/>\nWe thank the UNVFVT for the great support and the effort to fight torture as the severest and most prevalent violation of human rights.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the international day please <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/EN\/Issues\/Torture\/IntDay\/2016\/Pages\/Index.aspx\">follow this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the 35. anniversary of the \u201cUN fund for victims of torture\u201d a brochure was published with stories of victims of torture on their journey to healing and regaining their dignity. vivo contributed to this brochure.
